Learn to make spectacular flowers from Australia's preeminent sugar artist! In this hands-on master class Greg will teach two types of roses with buds and foliage, as well as his White Wedding Favorites cake of roses and peonies. Students will create floral bouquets, and will arrange the white wedding flowers on a fondant-covered single-tier cake. (Greg may even demonstrate how to get those sharp Australian edges on his cakes!)
Students are requested to bring:
- non-stick board, with non-slip mat to go underneath the board
- small rolling pin
- petal pad
- large and small ball tools
- medium Cel stick
- Dresden tool
- 1-1/2" round cutter
- small scissors for hand-cut flowers
- Rose Leaf Cutter & Veiner set (CO2165) and Garden Rose Petals/Veiner and Calyx set (CO2087). These can be purchased from Giovanna Smith at www.sugarartstudio.com.
All other materials will be provided. Light breakfast options, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, and beverages throughout the day are also included.
Class will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, October 12-14, 2018 (Friday through Sunday), in the Promenade Room of the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Edgewater, NJ.

His dedication to the discipline of sugarcraft makes him a sought-after teacher, demonstrator and judge both in Australia and overseas. Greg was awarded the Cake Oscar for “Sugar Floral Artist” of the year at the recent Australian Cake Artists & Decorators Association (ACADA) cake Oscars in May 2018.
